Host sites pay $5,500 match for a FULL-TIME member
Full time members serve 1700 hours, however, not all of those hours are served in the school. In addition to direct service, members spend time in training and engaged in community service projects. Up to 300 hours may be spent in training, and up to 100 hours may be spent engaged in community service projects. Host sites can plan on a full-time member "getting things done" on site approximately 33 hours per week.

Time Line:

March 2007: Recruitment of members and host sites for 2006-2007 program year begins
May 30, 2007: Priority host sites identified
April, May and June, and July 2007: WORD screens and interviews applicants
June, July and August, 2007: Site placements determined by WORD and host site sign contracts
August 1, 2007: Team Leaders begin service
August 15, 2007: Full time members begin service
August 29, 2007: Site Supervisor meeting
October 13, 2007: Host site match payment due to WORD
